Mr. Torsiello has served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Torsiello Capital Advisors Inc. and TCA Global Consultants since their inception. Prior to forming his own business, Mr. Torsiello served for two years as a Managing Director and Head of the North America Insurance Practice of Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein, an international investment banking firm with offices in 34 countries.

 

Prior to joining Wasserstein, Mr. Torsiello spent thirteen years (five as a Managing Director) at Salomon Smith Barney and its predecessor firm, Salomon Brothers, co-heading its Insurance Practice from 1998 to 1999. From 1995 to 1999, Mr. Torsiello was also a member of the firm's global Capital Commitments Committee, which approved substantially all of the firm's capital transaction activities. In 1978, Mr. Torsiello began his career in the NY Insurance Practice of KPMG and left as a Senior Manager to join Salomon Brothers in 1986. 

Throughout his career, Mr. Torsiello has worked extensively in the global property-casualty, life, financial guaranty and other specialty insurance and reinsurance markets, with a broader focus including alternative asset management, managed care, structured finance and diversified financial services firms; he has completed numerous sales, mergers, acquisitions, restructurings, debt and equity offerings (including leading many IPOs) and other advisory projects, including valuations, fairness opinions, demutualizations, expert reports and testimony, litigation and regulatory consulting. 

Since 1999, Mr. Torsiello has served as a Director of Alterra Capital Holdings Ltd. (including its predecessor, Max Capital Group Ltd.), currently also serving as Chairman of its Audit & Risk Management Committee and as a member of its Compensation Committee. Mr. Torsiello also currently serves on the Board of Advisors of the Fordham College of Business Administration and the Executive Committee of the President's Council of Fordham University.

 

Mr. Torsiello graduated Summa Cum Laude from the Fordham College of Business Administration with a BS in Accounting in 1978. He is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in the State of New York.
